15: Run 2 Miles

After 2 weeks of brisk walks, it was time to kick it up a notch with a run. Let’s be honest 2 miles is not a difficult run but it certainly isn’t something I enjoy. It was a gorgeous day so I disguised the experience by making sure I was fully taking in the beautiful nature along my path. 2 miles were done in 18:00 minutes. First split was much slower than the second which seems to be my style. I hope that continues as I painfully build up the endurance for longer runs. I still have never experienced a “runner’s high”…maybe they sell them in tinctures or gummies, but I’m excited I’m making cardio progress here.
